Faculty Development Opportunities
CREOG School for Program Directors and Program Managers
Becoming and being a successful residency or fellowship program director is challenging, at times quite difficult, but always rewarding and gratifying. The directorship learning curve is steep, and must be handled effectively and expeditiously for our residents and fellows to be well-served through their postgraduate medical education years. Featuring the expertise of an experienced and knowledgeable program director faculty, the School addresses multiple topics that are fundamental and critically important to a well-run program. Through a combination of lectures, panel presentations, and discussion sessions, the School provides an outstanding opportunity for directors to gain valuable insights, ideas, and knowledge to assist them in directing their programs.
Fellowship program coordinators also benefit from attending the School. Fellowship-specific sessions are planned and conducted by ABOG executive staff.

ACGME Annual Educational Conference
March 7-10, 2024
The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, Orlando, Florida
For three days in March 2023, more than 4,000 attendees came together at the largest graduate medical education (GME) gathering in the world, to create, innovate, and engage at the 2023 Annual Educational Conference. Participants learned, in sessions and workshops delivered by hundreds of speakers, on a wide range of topics in GME, and built connections with colleagues new and old, from across the United States and the world. Most importantly, the community was able to pause and reflected together on the challenges GME has faced in recent years, and celebrated the achievements made while navigating continued uncertainty. Session rooms were filled with physicians, educators, leaders, learners, and other medical professionals, all with a shared focus on continuing to advocate for high-quality and equitable patient care. Conference attendees participated in several engagement activities, including packing more than 600 meals for families in need with Nashville’s Second Harvest Food Bank. Additional highlights included record breaking attendance in the Coordinator Forum, the return of the Mentor/Mentee Program, and the numerous opportunities to connect outside of educational content.
We look forward to coming together with you again in 2024 to continue the journey of innovation, collaboration, and making a difference, together.
